Team Heartbeat!

We have some exciting news to share re our Newest program.

We are excited to announce that BITS is expanding (Back In the Saddle Warriors, our Equine Therapeutic Riding program).  Because our program is one on one to get the best therapy, we are seeing awesome results. We have been working with Kristy at a ranch in Tumwater for almost 4 yrs and it is a great relationship.  She is an outstanding PATH Instructor for our program. We started BITS KIDS before Christmas, even before I had put together the brochure we now have.

This program is for special needs children of wounded warriors and before we even put it out, we have a child in the program whose pic we used for the brochure. The evaluations are awesome and rewarding. Beginning in March 2018 we will be adding hippotherapy back with the Occupational Therapist at the WTB at JBLM. This part of BITS will be on Mondays. Our BITS Warriors Equine Therapeutic Riding and BITS KIDS is on Tues. So we are growing and serving more with this very special one on one program.

I received a very nice call from a therapist at the VA TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) clinic . They now are putting together an app for Warriors phones that allows Warriors to view right away therapy programs that the VA does not offer but that they deem as worthwhile with good results. They have asked if they can put all three of our therapies on that app as soon as their IT department figures it out.  We are thrilled to be asked to be a part of that!

This summer we will have our first annual Operation In Style program, to give brand new kids clothes to K-6th grade children of wounded warriors. We will soon begin collecting monetary donations and clothes soon and will keep you updated.  Stay tuned for the flyer to announce this!!

For any of our programs we would very much appreciate each and every donation for any of the above programs or for all of our other programs.

Thank you all for your support!
Janice
